My first birthday

I am thankful I reached a milestone. I am one year old happy and healthy baby. Due to my subcontractor ie my father, he is posting this almost a month later. I have new pictures that we took during my birthday so please enjoy them.

My adventure in my hometown of Memphis

Hello family and friends,
I am doing GREATTTTT alhamdulilaah. Since my last post, I am able to walk. I am having the time of my little life with my loving parents. I have uploaded new pictures. There are total of 360 pictures so please click the album to see all the new pictures and the new pictures are the last of the list. I hope you'll enjoy them. Happy Birthday to me, alhamdulilaah I will be ONE year old on Monday November 30th. I would like to thank GOD, my mother, father, and the rest of my family and family friends for being there for me!!! I will be posting new pictures after my birthday so be on the lookout for that.

Mansh'alah !! Where can I begin since my last post? First, I hope all of you had a happy Eid and you enjoyed it with your family. I had the privilege of meeting my other grandmother from my Dad's side and it was both blessing and happy occasion as you'll see the pictures we took. I spent my first Eid with my family and we had a wonderful time. We took pictures of the Eid event and I hope you'll enjoy those pictures! We also went out to eat and did a lot of shopping.

You'll see Kaysan calling his stock broker due the money he lost during the credit crunch and mortgage crisis in Memphis!!

Hello family and friends,

Well, I am elated to inform you of the progress I made since my last post. I am almost able to stand on my feet and insha'alah I hope to do that fairly soon. As of now, I am able to stand with the help of the chairs, seats, tables, dishwasher, walls, and with any other heavy objects I can lean on. Since my last post, I got vaccinated and I have seen my doctor for my checkup. Alhamdulilaah, all is well with me which makes my parents very happy because I am healthy baby. I am uploading new pictures of me so you will have an idea of my growth.

My adventure in my hometown of Memphis

Hello, family and friends

I came home on August 8th with my mother from our vacation in Canada so we can attend my daddy's graduation on August 16th. Alhamdulilaah, I am healthy and I am growing as baby in my age should. I am able to crawl and stand up with the help of the chairs, or with any other objects that help me stand on my feet. I have some new pictures and I hope you will enjoy them all. I enjoyed my stay in Canada and I met my grandmother whom I immensely enjoyed spending time with, along with other members of my mother's side of the family.

My Canadian adventure continues

Well, let me first apologize on behalf of my dear father, for not posting new blogs since I outsourced my blogging to him!!! A lot has happened since my last post. I am seven month old handsome baby boy now as you'll see my new pictures. By the way, we always wait to post until I have pictures and that is why we delayed posting. I have two tooth now and I can pretty much crawl on my own. My dear mom said, she is exercising by keeping up with me nowadays. I hope you'll enjoy my new pictures and as always I love you family.

Hello, Family and Friends

Well, where can I start since my last post. On May 30Th, I became a 6 months old handsome baby boy. I am able to sit on my own and I can rollover. I am also eating baby cereal, in addition to breast feeding, formula, and vegetable. I spend all my time with my mom and I missed my dad back in Memphis. My dad started calling me KAYO now and he said that is my nickname at least until I can talk.

Hello, Family and Friends

What can I say but how elated I am to be both alive and healthy baby!!! A lot has happened since my last post and here is some of it. I have gained weight and I look fabulous as result. Why you ask? Well, my mother has started feeding me baby cereal and mashed carrots. I also got my shots and yearly checkup by my Doctor, and it went very well. I am enjoying the cereal and the carrots more than anything else. I also spent a lot of time with my mother's friends in Memphis.

Hello, Family

I apologize for not posting any updates to my blog since I left Canada. I am here in my birth place Memphis, TN. It is my father's fault, because I outsourced my writing to him until I am 18 years old insha'alah. I am doing well alhamdulilaah. I missed my family in Canada and I hope to be back there soon!!! I am glad to be here in Memphis because I am with my father again!!! Hopefully, my father and I will update the blog once a week to keep you informed about me. Love Kaysan Ahmed. My Canadian adventure continues

Kaysan has been busy this past weekend. He visited two ayeyos. Ayeyo nimco and ayeyo jawahir along with other family members and I am told he had a ball. He has been whizzing quite a bit lately and he went to the doctor's on Friday and got new puffers. Despite the whizzing, He is a happy baby though. Everyone who sees him also says he is a cutie! This past week hasnt been as monumental as last week; however, we are hoping he will be going for a sleep over to one of his ayeyo's as soon as he gets well enough to. We took lots of pictures with him and we love them all.

My Canadian adventure continues

Well, its been a busy month for Kaysan this March.. he learned to smile fully and respond to tickles and little cooing noises. believe it or not he refuses to lie down straight anymore and practically raises himself from neck up which makes him look like he is doing seat ups. Its hilarious and oh so cute! Anyhow, he drinks loads of processed milk and loads of breast milk which has resulted in an amazing growth spurt in between late February and mid March. Kaysan went to his first Juma prayers last Friday the 20th of March and he was quiet throughout the lecture and prayers because he was asleep! Umaimah reads to him regularly and Iesha spends loads of time playing with him and just giving him attention. In short Kaysan is a spoil little brat and a lovable cute one at that! He cries whenever he wants attention and so its sometimes hard to differentiate when he is hungry and angry. He also loves to travel he falls asleep a few minutes into the drive. He also seems to be very peaceful when he is visiting different places i.e. malls or people's homes which makes Zamzam very happy. She was always afraid he would cry throughout a visit and so it was a huge relief when he took it so well to visits. His rough skin seems to be tied to milk and eggs because when Zamzam has stopped drinking milk or eating eggs as a result, his face improved greatly. He is cute and he knows it!

My visit to Canada

I had a wonderful week. I learned to fully respond to smiles by presenting a huge cute toothless smile. I also learned to grab at things when I see them especially if they are colorful. I was also coughing a little. My mother re-introduced me to the bottle because she believes ,she doesn't have "enough" milk and so poor little me has foreign things going into my little body again! I went to visit my aunt Fowzia and her family this Friday. I came back to aunt Naima's crib on Sunday (today). Umaimah has spoiled me rotten, she reads to me most nights and rocks me back and forth, and did I tell you how much I enjoy that Umaimah, your the best cousin a guy can hope for. My dear aunt Naima places me, on her knees while she is lying down and so I think, I am in Hawaii. They call it my holiday position which I absolutely love, they should know I am my mother's son. My skin is clearing because my mother stopped drinking regular milk and has switched to Soy milk and the change has been dramatic. Lucky , for me, I can now speak with the ladies!!

My visit to Canada

02/08/2009 today, is Sunday and I am in Canada but I have the flu thanks to my mother who has it!!

Kaysan had immense trouble breathing and he was hospitalized at the Trillium Hospital in Mississauga Ontario, Canada room no. 504. He was given a breathing mask to help him open up his chest for easier breathing. He has been breastfed every half an hour, because his breathing doesn’t allow him to be breast feed for long periods so the half an hour breastfeeding is helping Kaysan's milk intake. The nurse came into the room often to check his breathing and at around 7.30pm she stated that his chest was opening up and his breathing was beginning to get better.

02/14/2009 the past week has been difficult for poor Kaysan. He couldn’t Poop for five days until Thursday night, when I massaged him. His breathing has improved but he is very unsettled on some evenings and he cries quite a bit. Zamzam can’t do anything because he wants to feed every couple of minutes; the good news is he only been breastfed. For Kaysan, no more toxics going into his little body and he seem happier. We saw some rushes on his face and legs but we think it is nothing more than a reaction from fabric or something minor. Tonight, Saturday the 14th he cried endlessly at night until he fell asleep.

11/30/2008 today, is Sunday and is the day I was born.

12/02/2008 today, my dear parents brought me home from the hospital "The St.Francis Hospital" of Memphis, TN USA.

On 12/05/2008 today, my mother was shown how to breast feed me right!!

12/07/2008 today is my first Eid with my parents, since I was born on 11/30/2008. My parents are worried today, because I was unable to Poop about 4 days!! So my parents made an appointment for me too see a doctor.

12/09/2008 today, I had my first visit with my Pediatrician. His name is Dr. Terrell nice guy!! My parents were concerned about my health since I didn't Poop about 4 days, but the doctor said it was OK since I am drinking breast milk only and not the formula. He said, it usually takes about 4-5days before I can Poop. In other words , the Doctor was saying it takes longer for breast fed babies to Poop than the formula babies.

12/10/2008 today, I can hear my father saying " THANK YOU GOD KAYSAN POOPED TODAY" now imagine that!! I can even hear my father saying WE LOVE YOU KAYSAN!! I also got my first mail and it said KAYSAN AHMED. I can hear my father saying what happened to his name!!

12/18/2008 today, I was back to Dr. Terrell's office, because my mother thought I was sick but I was OK thank God.

12/27/2008 today, I can hear my parents say, I have " Colig" because I can't stop crying. COME ON GUYS!! I just need attention from you. My father suggested that my mother stop taking any dairy products but poor mom she lasted only one day and it was back on the wagon!! Because my mother loves tea!!

12/30/2008 today, my mother decided , we ( myself and her) need one week to get reacquanted. Basically she want to study my habits , hey mom I am only one month old baby!!!

12/30/2008 today, we had a car accident, because of some crazy lady run a red light and side swiped us!! I was cool about it though because I was sleeping!!

01/05/2009 today, I went to visit my Doctor since we had the accident.

01/07/2009 today, my poor dad had mixed two different formulas for me and I started to throw up. I was sick today because of my dad!! One would think ,they should give my dad instruction book? I know he loves me !!! So as usual my parents took me to see Dr. Terrell and all I got was Pedialyte!!

01/30/2009 today, I got my first shot since I am two months old !!! The doctor said, I will cry but guess what I didn't. I showed that nurse who her daddy is!!!

02/07/2009 today, you need to sit down for this!! Today my mother and I were supposed to fly to Canada to visit my aunts but we missed the flight due to my parents. First, my mother took her time and dad as usual is late. So we came back home and I can see my mother was so dissappointed.

02/08/2009 today, my dear mother and I left for CANADA !!!!
